Tuesday Mkt place

Postby EWW » 02 Mar 2015, 21:26

Went into town today for the first time since the Mart came to town. The really nice
paved area at the south side of the square is covered in oil and grease leaked from
the vehicles, and will take some cleaning, if it can be done that is. Where I parked
there is a lake of diesel oil that has been spilt and you can smell it fro yards away.

Once diesel has soaked into tarmac the tarmac has to come up as it just turns to mush.

After all the money that was spent on doing up the square I think it is a great shame
for it to be spoiled like that. End of rant :?
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

http://www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/pdf/290812%20Minutes%20REC.pdf wrote:[Business Manager] Martin Chisholm explained that any damage incurred would be liable for compensation

Oh joy, so this could be another dispute between the Showmen's Guild and the Borough Council. That'll be quick to get the damage fixed, then(!) :-(

I'm still disappointed every time I read that and the accusation that Lynn can't "operate as a town" without every motorist being allowed to drive through the mart. The town seemed to operate when TMP was closed except for access for other reasons.
