I have been looking, for several years, for a copy of the Hunstanton location film "Barnacle Bill", with no success. I was browsing the TV listings just before Christmas and saw that it was to be shown on the "Christmas Gold" channel. I put that in the Planner and had a thoroughly good laugh whilst watching it. The views of Hunst'on brought back childhood memories; although I remember the train, I can only recall the skating rink at the end of the pier, not the theatre. The bank scene reminded me of the counter in the National & Provincial Bank, on the Tuesday Market Place, in the early 1960s. I noticed that the film was to be repeated, so there may be a chance for some to watch it over the next few days. I don't know if it is available on the Amazon FireStick thingummy. After seeing reviews of it "bombing" in the cinemas, I was thinking that I may be disappointed, but, oh no, it was very interesting. Certainly not as disappointing as "Revolution" - this film has been repeated several times over the last couple of weeks (I bought this in VHS tape many years ago, from W.H. Smith, for about £10!)
