I wonder if the Auditor signed the account off and it was approved at the next AGM???
It will be very difficult for youngsters to make sense of our money in a few years' time won't it? We do it quite easily as we know off the top of our heads that 12d = 1s and 4 X 2/6d = 10/- but how difficult for those that don't know that 2/3d isn't two thirds of a penny etc and the mathmatics!
I went to a primary school a few years ago and gave a local history talk with lots of old bits and pieces, including some proper money! At coffee break, a teacher came up to me and said "Do you mind explaining the old money to me please?" Did I feel old!
It is like a foreign language to them!!!
