Ghosts of Kings Lynn

Postby Zoolandia » 02 Sep 2020, 22:32

I'm hoping to write a book on the Ghosts of King's Lynn; sadly this is proving to be harder than I expected despite some great contributions from Facebook people. Does anyone on this forum have any tales they would like to impart?

Attached is a newspaper clipping from the Lynn News about spooky goings on in my relatives old property at Albion St. Apparently some workmen refused to go in there!!

Thank you, this is excellent! Do you have a date for the article?

Thanks you :)
Could I clarify something please ? The article mentions Union Street but you said Albion Street. Was one renamed?

Pictures on here of both streets. They are in different parts of the town.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

I just thought I'd give an update on my project; I'm now up to 184 pages and have decided to expand my remit to cover West Norfolk. Previous books on the subject have focussed on the area close to Norwich with bald spots in the west. Hopefully my work can redress this balance.

The biggest section was the Syderstone parsonage ghost of 1833 (24 pages). I've just finished work on RAF Bircham Newton (12 pages). Unfortunately there's precious little on some other areas - a line or two gleaned from very old newspapers sometimes. And some of the very famous ones, like the Majestic cinema, have very little.

If anyone has any information on ghosts in the region - either by experience or by second or third hand stories, *please* get in touch.
