Postby EWW » 08 May 2006, 15:48

Been over this bridge hundreds of times, the shop is still there, the windmill
is still there minus its sails .... but where is it?

Great pics, I didn't know there was an old tramway out there. I wonder if there is still anything left of it? 8)

None of it left now OG, but in the third pic with the people standing on
the lock gates, in the left foreground you can see a round topped
metal post. The posts used to hold gates for the lock, these are
still there sticking out of the ground at the side of the road near
the lock basin.

THESE PICE WERE SENT TO ME BY MR & MRS SWANN OF OUTWELL, AND
THEY HAVE ASKED ME TO POST THEM ON HERE AS THEY ONLY COME ON
HERE AS GUESTS. I WILL POST THEM A FEW AT A TIME AS THERE ARE
QUITE A FEW OF THEM.

Lovely stuff EWW, and thanks Mr & Mr Swann.
To think those scenes were part of daily life in Outwell for about 100 years. 8)
