Remembrance

Postby radstockjeff » 09 Nov 2021, 12:49

As we approach November 11th and Armistice Day I found this picture in the files. It is not our Remembrance Day but ANZAC Day 2017 in the locality of Wolumla NSW.
These two were reminiscing at the door of the Memorial Hall. The lady was wearing her dad's medals (WW2). He had been in Bomber Command and she had only recently found out about his war service.

The man was also wearing family medals. Left breast for the original recipients..Right for family medals. He must have put some time in.
I would like to see more people do it. There are always one or two at Tower gardens on the day.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.
