When I was there many moons ago a skunk that lived under the shed sprayed the family dog. If you have never smelt it you would
not believe how noxious it was. The dog ran in the house like a mad thing and rolled on the bed where my sister was sorting all the
clothes out for one of her son to take to college the next day. The clothes had to be thrown away along with everything else the dog
had touched, chaos. One of the remedies the yanks try to get rid of the smell is to wash everything in tinned tomato juice. Do not
know if it works or just an urban myth. :)

What a lovely garden! you can tell and English woman lives there. :o)
sorry about the skunk. My dog would have acted the same way, it's just their nature. There are chemicals you can buy now especially to neutralize the stink but tomato juice supposedly works, somewhat. If you have a white dog, though, it'll be pink for a while!
