Thanks EWW. Back home now and trying to catch up!
Will sort a few more piccies bye and bye.
Had a wonderful time, mostly with the family and not as much travelling the country as in previous visits, ana as far as I am aware I did not fall foul of the Traffic Rangers this time!

Probably the most expensive Real Estate in Melbourne. Along the banks of the Yarra River, The Docklands Redevelopment. Apartments at around 5million AU Dollars, not counting the cost of the boat. But it comes with its own waterside parking lot for the boat.

Here's a nice little pet.

Golden Skink Lizard, in the forest at Six Mile Creek on the Tantawangalo Mountain Road in the South East Forest National Park NSW. If you really want to know exactly where, and you have a map of the area (or ask Mr Google) it is between Candelo and Cathcart. On the same trip we visited the Platypus Reserve near Bombala. Never having seen a Platypus I am still none the wiser. Although we saw the traces of their activities in the water they are so small and difficult to spot from the viewpoints on the river bank.

Where did you go today?

The Lithgow Zig Zag Railway NSW.

Unfortunately this restored railway was severely damaged in the Bush fire of 2013 and is only now re-opening.

Fire in the forest...piccie from part of the fire ground near Bega

NSW fires. There's is a brief lull in the spread around Bega, heavy rain during Tuesday, but more dry hot weather promised by the end of the week and it will all start going again.
Our son's family have evacuated their property and are staying with friends down in Melbourne but Andrew is with his Firie mates from the Tarraganda Fire Shed (NSW Rural Fire Service) helping to fight and contain the conflagration.

Please keep them all in your thoughts.

After all this time the fire fighters must be running on empty. Lets hope their nightmare comes to an end soon. As I have family
on the east coast amongst it all I certainly have all of the front line fighters in my thoughts all the time.

Nowhere crossing is the next one up from Extons heading out of Lynn, commonly used by trespassers for pick ups from Extons Rd.

Luna Park St Kilda Melbourne . Has one of the oldest, still working, big dippers in the world, I believe.

Tree Sculptures, Lakes Entrance Vic
Image

Along the Promenade at Lakes Entrance are a number of Tree Sculptures depicting scenes or people relating to WW1.
This one shows The Man with the Donkey John Simpson Kirkpatrick one of Australia's folk heroes of ANZAC.
