Is this a Norway Maple?

Can anyone help identify the tree, it has lovely autumn colour, I think it is possibly a Maple.

It looks like the sugar maples my niece have hundreds of on her mountain property up on the Canadian border.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

A quick way to remember which few trees in the U.S. have opposite arrangement (where the leaves and twigs grow in pairs opposite each other and not alternating) is this silly term: mad Buck
M for maples
A for ash
D for dogwoods
Buck for buckeyes which is American common name for the genus Aesculus (horse chestnuts, for instance)
(Disclaimer: Viburnum also are opposite arrangement but here we think of them as a shrub, not a tree).
So next time you are next to this tree, look to see if the leaves grow opposite each other on the twigs. At least you'll know if it's a maple!
