Maids Head

Postby daveh » 02 May 2017, 01:17

We had another visit to Lynn last week - a funeral, so not a happy family occasion, unfortunately. A wet day in town, on Friday, so we went in the Maids for a quiet, dry lunch with a couple of pints. Jim, the chef, served up another feast for us to chew through - smoked haddock for me and lasagne (with chips, garlic bread & salad!!!) for my wife, accompanied by Youngs Stout and HogsHead Bitter. I couldn't resist the mixed fruit crumble with custard, but my wife had to decline a dessert - unheard of! The motto of the house appears to be "no-one leaves hungry or wanting more." So, if you are in town, between noon and 2.00pm, looking for food that will tease your taste buds and satisfy your hunger, but not break the bank, pop in the Maids - you won't regret it. The usual waivers apply.
