We have just returned from a visit to my father, in Lynn. We only had fish & chips 3 times (in 5 days) - Deer's Leap, Maid's Head and Dersingham (at the traffic lights.) We were intending going to the Sandringham, in Tower Street, but we were off to the (Royal?) Gourmet Plaza that evening, so 2 large meals in one day would have been too much. Which is the best? I cannot say, as they were all very good and equally enjoyable. Certainly all are better than those near us at home. The Maids Head is my favourite eating and watering hole, where the quality is high and the portion sizes are ample!!! We will have to venture further afield, on our next visit, in October, and sample some of the other recommendations - hopefully, we will be in the car, not travelling by train as we have done on our last 2 visits.
