Can anyone recommend a good picture framers shop in Lynn please? I know there used to be a couple years ago but think they closed.

The one on the Saturday Marketplace closed a while ago - and they were a bit expensive.

Depending what you need framed, I think cornishdave (http://www.daveashfield.co.uk) on this very forum was offering framing a while ago, or you could try Ray Gribble (http://www.raygribble.co.uk) in Wereham. I've used Ray in the past for a very large frame I needed and for repairs to a damaged frame. He's very good, and better value than anyone I found in town.

If it's just that you've got something that's an odd size for a standard frame off-the-shelf, what I now prefer to do is to buy a frame larger than the image and have a custom mount cut. I use Cotswold Mounts for the mounts (http://www.cotswoldmounts.co.uk). That's a lot cheaper than having a custom frame built. There are some good frames at very good prices in The Range and Ikea.
I choose to share some of my images with this forum, but please respect my wishes. View them where I display them and don't download, copy, print or use them to create other works without my written permission. I can provide prints if requested.

Ev and Alastair - thank you for such quick answers. It was my son-in-law who wanted to know so I'll certainly pass on all the information to him.

Ev - I can't believe I haven't spotted that place next to True's Yard!

Thanks to both of you

Henderson art centre at Gaywood.

Bill Henderson is an excellent framer and has done quite a few jobs for me and I can highly recommend him.

Jools - thank you for that good suggestion.

Another place I've passed hundreds of times (I've even been in there) and didn't think of!
