Been reading an old article on Sunny Hunny and the lighthouse is mentioned. Built in 1840 and closed down in 1921 and the light removed.
It was sold by Hunstanton Council in 1964 for £4.760.00 wonder what it is worth today? It had the first Parabolic reflector light in the country
to be used in a lighthouse.

Well in 2007 Bip Weatherell , a 60s pop star with the Tornadoes, put it on the market for £695,000. He later reduced it (2008) to £499,000. Worth considerably more today I would imagine.

Thats a nice little markup if he was the £4.750 purchaser.

Don't know how much he and wife paid for it, they bought it in the mid 90s. It was last sold in March 2016 for £460,000. New owners name is Derek. Bip hailed from Corby by the way.

It was struck by lightning in a very bad storm a year or so ago and a lump was knocked of the top of it.
We drove past it today but I did not have time to take a piccy of it as fish and chips were waiting at
the lavender mill restaurant and our table was booked
