Mystery building in the woods on the Castle Rising estate

This structure is tucked away in the woods on the Castle Rising estate. It sits in a clearing, next to a large pond.

It has two heavy duty metal doors (one at the rear), a gas supply, and a chimney / flue on the roof. It has no windows at all.

Any ideas what this building is for?

Airbnb No seriously I do not know. Where about is it as I go walking there quite often and do not recall seeing it at any time. I would ask
at the cafe next time I go if I had a reference as to where it is.

I saw this building last year while out wandering.
There was a man and woman sitting on chairs beside the lake, and as I think this is private property I walked away without stopping to chat.

You're right Warwound, private land owned by Lord Howard. It's a fairly recent building, thought to be used for when they hold parties and such like. Hence the gas supply.

Not something that was on the estate when I worked for the then Mr Howard.

Just a word of warning ( and this is from the horses mouth, so to speak) the building is privately owned by Lord Howard and if you are in that area and close enough to see it, you are trespassing. So don't get caught !!!!

The mystery building is on the right hand side of the path if you walk from Lynn Road in the direction of the Babingley River.

I remembered a very similar building I visited a couple of years back in the grounds of Narford Hall at Narborough:

As a general term, "folly" is usually applied to a small building that appears to have no practical purpose...

Thank you both T and WW. I immediately thought folly when I first saw the first picture. I also thought future mausoleum.
No need to worry T as I know what Lord Howard is like. He is not my favorit local local by a long chalk.
