According to Ancestry Sarah was a widow in Buntons Yard in 1851 and the family tree says she was married to Wiiliam Chadwick.? Regarding ' Cotton Reader' see attached .

Ms Marple to the rescue. So is it that LYNG and LYNN are getting mixed up as has happened on here before, or is it just a typo?

A little off topic but there is a Chadwick Square King's Lynn, I only remember this cos a school friend use to live there.

There was also a Chadwick St,
(long gone) back of All Saints Church. And incidentally, my Nan's ( in Lynn) Dr was called Chadwick.

Sarah Chadwick's children were all chr in her name there is no father or his occupation mentioned.
1841c she is living at Gaywood with William & Elizabeth Howard & their six children In 1851c she is a widow 1861c she is single buried as a widow ? and nothing comes up about her being born at Lyng
I have also checked William & Ann's 8 childrens chr and there is no Sarah, on 9.1.1792 they had Joseph & Ann 26.7.1793 which doesn't leave room for Sarah 1792.

Depending on which site you look at, her birth is given as 1794 and 1796.

In Sept. 1796 they had Benjamin so that rules that year out.

Joseph died, he was buried on the 21st January, so if Sarah was born late 1792 it's still possible.

I have Joseph's death but two in one year is pushing it a bit don't you think when she had Ann on 5th July 1793 .
If so William was one inconsiderate husband in my mind.

I agree Ann, that is pushing it, but I have a friend with 3 children and there's only 10 months between each of them. I don't think husbands were very considerate in those days, given the number of children some families had.

Maybe this is why you can't find her Ann. Same family tree on Ancestry, posted by the same person as the Lynn information.( Lyng is a typo)
