desira37.

Apologies I somehow missed the question you asked me about Hannah Matilda Haverson.

I know virtually nothing about the Haverson family. My father left home when in his early teens and never kept contact with his family. He never spoke of them either so I know very little apart from the investigations I have carried out.

Hannah Matilda Haverson is a new name which i have never seen before.

This is my favourite photo of Walter and Nora. They were in Ireland in 1970.

They both look so happy.

JohnRH wrote:Yes Walters wife was Florence. They separated .....I have no idea when, but my earliest memories in the 1950s was of them living apart and Nora living with Walter. I used to go to Walters house and on the front door was a bell push with a label clearly telling the world Mr W Chilvers and Mrs Nora Harris.....I never thought anything about it but looking back that was quite a thing to advertise in the 1950's and 1960's.

Florence used to live in South Everard Street and my mother Alice Haverson would call on her when taking me to school at the old All Saints school which was opposite.

Walter and Flo never divorced. She died early in 1972. He died August 1973. Nora then moved to the midlands where her family lived and I visited her twice. She died in the mid 80's. I have good memories of them.

Who are you in the family????

Florence moved in with my dad Ernie and his three children, Stephen, Rosemary and myself Elizabeth to look after us as our mum could not look after us, she stayed there until she died, but would never sell her house, saying that one day she would move back there, shame she never got to, I do think she was happy with us but was hard looking after her grandchildren.
