1949, thomas cooper lived opposite in the big house which is now flats, you can just see the building of the former cow shed which was then storage for bestyett mineral waters, now coopers gatehouse on the right of picture with new extention

Nice photos, in the second one it looks like people in the road may have been just leaving off. Do you know how many people worked for coopers at it's peek and when was the peek?
