Does anyone have memories or photos of the ponies and horses at Nancy Wheelers Home Farm stables in Holme ? I learnt to ride there from 1965 to 1969 and remember Flicka,Sarah,Harding,Alexton,Chocolate,Titus,Timothy,Veronica,Rachel,Kim,Busby, Tea leaf, Moppet and Poppit,Thames, Piglet,- and all those mad canters on the beach in all weathers.
Anyone else ?

It cost 12s 6d an hour for children and yes there were some snooty people there - but not all - I lived on a council estate and saved pennies to go on saturdays. I used to walk there from Hunstanton or sometimes get the bus. The lessons were hilarious and old fashioned military style "Heels down elbows in - give him a kick !" I would love to see photos of horse from that era if anyone has any to post, especially the hacks on the beach.
