My wife is still sorting through her Mums old photographs and thought this would be of interest to some of you of a certain age !
It's Empire Day 1954 at HIGHGATE INFANTS.

Highgate infants

Postby GordonSetterLover » 18 Jun 2015, 14:37

I've found this interesting reading and did so because it flagged up Highgate infant school and St James primary. I went to both of these but left Lynn aged 11. When at the infant school I was living in 45 George Street. Has anyone any pics of this era - 1949-1956? I was Lynda Gregory. My Mum went to St james too she was Jean Ellis.

Sorry to correct you Bill J. The Benefers lived in Birchwood Street sharing same back row as some of George Street. No 45 George was on the Rec. side.

This Picture is I think Empire Day 1951, I`m Little Boy Blue at the front. Susan Woodhouse is at the front also, Bernice Gill, Lesley Sayles, Rodney Howlett. If I can think of anymore I will post again later, in the mean time Paul Rose may be able to help.
