. Found this old photo amongst some papers today. It is taken from the opposite end of the courtyard leading to All Saints School, looking towards South Everard Street.

Looks a happy bunch. Sign of the times to see both women smoking. Any idea of the date?

Wow, sharp eyes Ev, hadn't noticed the ciggies. Think they were probably pretending though, as the young girl would only have been about 14 and her mum would have given her a right ear bashing! Date probably around very early 40's. T

My years of interest would be 1891-1898. Photos are much later than that. Appreciate the indication though.

Following photo thought to be at All Saints School in the late 1940s.
My sister Ruth Manning in front in welsh hat, but who are the others

Hello LOB. If you look at Stubbsy's picture of the school on page three and compere the brickwork pattern
to your picture, they are the same. So yes, I think it is All Saints also.

Well spotted EWW, nothing gets past you.
Dare I suggest it might be Empire Day with the costumes from The Empire?

My sister was born in 1942 so was not at school on VE Day. We carried on thinking there would be peace and joy for quite a few years!
