Lovely to see the old photos. I was at Gaywood Park from 1960-64. in the A stream some of the names of our class teachers were Miss Williams,Miss Cousins Mrs Gwynne Mrs Morrison Mrs Catton Miss Coates & Miss Blatherwick Miss Brown Miss Gittens Miss Griggs Miss Draper, Mrs Dunwoody, Mrs Reynolds Mrs Richardson.Headmistress was Miss Bullock, I can remember the school layout as it i were there yesterday - we spent a lot of time there - happy times too. Ihave never seen the form picture that was taken of my class as yet - I havnt got any school photos of my own to share my mum & dad kept them & sadly they are no longer with us -the photos all disappeared - so anyone got any other photos I would love to see them

My sister Diane Barrett is 2nd from left as you look at the top photo....
She was a 4th year pupil when I started in my 1st year......
I was Ruth Barrett.....& I was at Gaywood Park School from Sept 66 until April 69...
During that time....I took part happily in School Choir....also Drama....& won awards for the school from Hunstanton & Assembly House in Norwich for both Drama, Bible Reading & Verse Speaking....
If anyone has a picture of any of my classes too....I would Love to see them.....
I was one of 6 children....so was much loved...but no extra money for photos then.....

EWW. That certainly looks like our Cherilyn third row down. Third from right to left. I thought that before I read your post. Can't remember her attending Gaywood Park School though.

Thanks EWW. How about Anne Ransome who lived next door to us on Queen Mary Rd? She lived with the Ransomes. I loved that family. There was also a young man named .........Prior. He played in a band long a time ago. Still around? I think his name was Michael. :?:

GAYWOOD PARK GIRLS SCHOOL

Postby anne » 30 Sep 2016, 22:09

I remember Mr Ebbs,he was a teacher at the Howard school too, where my dad was caretaker
He was a really nice person aswell as teacher.
Getting back to Gaywood Park school,Miss Bullock was head mistress when I was there & we didn't half get into trouble if we strayed anywhere near the boys school ,that was always out of bounds to us girls
The teachers I remember when I was there were
Mrs Richardson -music
Miss Williams -English &History
Mrs Gwynne -Maths
Miss Gittens - Needlework (recently RIP)
Miss Draper
Miss Dunwoody
Miss Griggs French
Miss Coats -Games
Mrs Morrison/Miss Brown/Miss Blatherwick -Cookery
Miss Fendley Geography
Mrs Perry -RE
Mrs Catton Science
Mrs Williams
Must be loads more, anyone else remember the teachers there
