old maps

Does anyone have a map of Kings Lynn from the period 1830 to 1870? I can access the 1884 map online, but would really like something a little older to work with alongside researching family history.

I think you may have this one nick as it is a bit later...1881. It is a large clickable and zoomable.

Thank you EWW, though a little later in date than I was looking for, the 1881 version, being zoomable does the job perfectly!

Thank you Mr Ted, much appreciated. I guess the last one must be circa 1815 as it is pre Eau Brink Cut.

That map posted by Mr Ted looks like Faden's. That was originally printed in 1797.
I am very interested in local history of mid-Norfolk and I have lots of connections to families in the Lynn area. http://www.norfolk-tours.co.uk/

The first map posted by Mr. Ted is William Rastrick's of 1725.

I was looking at the post of 3rd at 1.02. It does look like the redrawn faden to me.

I love old maps. :)

I was referring to the map with the scroll at top left that reads: "Ichnographia perantiqua Lennae Regis in Agro Norfolciensi." With sufficient magnification, the date underneath appears as MDCCXXV while, at bottom right, to the left of the drawing of the Custom House and below the Lynn Coat of Arms, you can see Rastrick's name. Hope this helps.

Hopefully someone can help!
Last year I was looking at a wonderful utility that had an old map of Lynn (I'm not sure of the date, maybe 1880s?), but it had an overlay of a recent map. There was a slider control at the top of the page which allowed you to alter the opacity of the new map so you could see what used to be on the newer areas. I'm sure I bookmarked but I cannot find it now. Does anyone know which map I mean and where I can find it?
Thank you!
