I hope the attached transcription from the Lynn Advertiser will be of some interest. I appreciate that this topic has been referenced in other threads, but it could be helpful to consolidate the data in one place.

King’s Lynn street names.
A transcription of part of an article published in the Lynn Advertiser dated 4th February 1938.

Here is a list of some of the streets in the borough which were known by other titles in the Middle Ages and, in some cases, up to fairly recent times.

Austin St. Hogman’s Lane
Baxters’ Plain Bakesters’ Plain
Broad St. Websters’ Row
Cattle Market Lane Spinners’ Row (in 1329 Enguald’s Lane)
Chapel St. Listerers’ Gate St.
Coronation Square Cooke’s Plain
Fisherfleet Dowsfleet
Friars’ St. South Lane
High St. (S. end) Mercers’ Row
King St. Chequer St. (renamed 1814)
Millfleet Meirisfleet or Mayor’sfleet
Nelson St. Lay, Ley or Lath St.
New Conduit St. Fincham St. and Burgharde’s Lane
Norfolk St. Grassmarket (W. end) and Damgate (E. end)
Pilot St. Ducehill
Queen St. Wyngate or Windgate
Sedgeford Lane Seggesford Lane (in 1422)
St. James’s St. Fullers’ Row (E. end) and Skinners’ Row (W. end); Skinners’ Row was later Leeds St., and the whole street was formerly Three Pigeon St. (from the PH)
St. Nicholas’ St. Woolpack St. (later Black Goose St.)
Surrey St. Jewes (or Gewys) Lane
Tennyson Avenue Almshouse Lane
Tower St. Finnis or Fynnes Lane, later Bakster Rowe or Baxsters Row
Union Lane Mad Lane

I have the whole book for all the streets in Lynn. I will send a disc if anyone want one.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Austin St. Hogman’s Lane. This one from the list is brewery related. The newish flats opposite Lidl on Austin street are called Hopman's Court.
Hogman/Hopman I am told a Hogman looked after the Hogshead barrels and the Hopman the Hops.

There is a map on here that show the old brewery buildings that used to be there.
