I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Among the death notices from the Lynn Advertiser of 5th January 1856, there is a record of Sarah Jane, aged 1, and Julia, aged 2, daughters of Mr. Samuel Parker, blockmaker, Manhood's Buildings, Lynn, who both died on 28th December 1855. Also in the 15th October 1864 edition: "On the 10th inst., aged 78 years, Mrs. Elizabeth Joice, Manhood's Buildings, Lynn. (N.B. According to probate records, Elizabeth Joice was actually a spinster.)

Fountain Dickerson & Mary Ann Manhood are my Aunt Mary's Gt. Grandparents. Aunt Mary married my mum's brother William Rye.

In the 1859 electoral register, John Manhood is shown as the owner of freehold houses in Coronation Square.

Clever detective work Ken, another mystery solved............. Desira, I know I have said this before, but isn't it amazing what one simple question can unearth? You must be related to half of Lynn in one way or another

Hi, Teri. We may take the long and winding road sometimes, but between us we often get there in the end. Now I'm off to mow the back lawn.

Hi TeriI
Tell me about it - I think I have all the North End names in my tree . I guess it was because outsiders were kept out of North End and families just married into one another.
My tree is like a maze because when I started with what I knew then found I had siblings married to another family name I had to much to move to keep them together.
Where possible I do move them if it's not to much to delete and put back on.

I know what you mean Ann, my Mums family is a bit like that. All Jarys, Johnsons and Thurstons. Babingley Nick and an Aunt on my mums side, shared the same grandfather or gt grandfather ( a Hornigold) and through showard82, we discovered a half sister of my grandad. Turns out she was gt gt grandmother of showard82 s wife. Families sure are confusing

If he owned houses why did he move about so much ? 1844 son born 5 Bridge St. 1846 South Everard St. Fleet ? & Coronation Ave where he died and the children's chr he was a Toll Collector.
Would that have been at the Southgate ?.
