I think some of the pics where taken early fifties! the pics were found in a skip early sixties, during the last stage of slum clearance, which I took part in, in the Coronation square area of the town, of which, I also have pics of.EWW.

INTEREST watch out eww, with this lot you,ll likely get your hand snapped off :smt106 their picture hungry on here ..
wish i had taken pictures as a boy ,i remember lynn as a town of many alleys ,backstreets and of course yards .
i was born in queen street and moved to chapel st,so this was the area i was familiar with .
these pics are a real tonic as i can still remember lynn like that, before the 1960 era revamps :smt022
keep em coming ,we cant wait :smt064

EEW,
this has to be part of the Catleugh Collection owned by the Carter Family of Friars Street! Originally there were 3 albums of pics, some taken by old man Catleugh of Catleughs of Lynn, Gentlemans outfitter of 14 Norfolk Street, who was a keen photogapher himself. Where the other albums went ...nobody seems to know!

I had two of the albums off of Roger Carter, CC.but they were not taken by catleugh, but by Goodchilds on catleughs behalf. I may be getting a further two albums from another contact in the near future so will post more as and when I get them, so glad there is interest in them, I delivered newspapers to most of them for Brays newsagents in Norfolk St, still there under another name if anybody can remember it, 51 years ago, seems like yesterday, six days aweek for the princely sum of 12shillings and sixpence, 62 and a half pence, what do todays paperboys get, anybody know? EEW, I only have a few, some that were copied as photo's some time ago. Roger and his family are very good friends of mine, as I once worked in the Butchers shop. I certainly don't think the Carters have any of the other albums.
