I'm wondering what has happened to a commemerative plaque in memory of Mick Locke who died as a result of an accident there in 1995 and also resulted in Jim Tripp being badly scalded. What a terrible day that was.

Mick was a nice chap supergt. I was in the same class as him at St Mary's catholic school.
Perhaps his widow has been offered it.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

What is happening with the site, as I am not certain but I think I read somewhere that Sainsbury won the Hardwick race for super power, and Tesco lost, but the plans were for Tesco to build on the Campbells site....?

LN&A says it is likely to be Sunday 15 Jan. Hardwick road has a closure notice
on it for that day for demolition work between 7.30 and 8.30 AM.

Does any one know what has happened to the name from the tower.
It shouldn,t be allowed to vanish as other artifacs have done , like the wrought iron arches that spanned High Street!
try everything once, if you dont like it once is enough
