Remember her well. When I was a nipper my mum used to take me to see the "ship-boats"

The Will Everard was built in Gt Yarmouth in 1925 and traded up the east coast until 1966. She was then sold on condition she changed her name, so she became the Will.
She was re-rigged as a private yacht and sailed off the Blackwater in essex

Image

later she was sold to P&O who's directors used her for entertaining. She is now based in St Katherine's Dock, London

Image

She still sails and Tower Bridge has to open to let her through, though I believe she is mainly used for corporate entertaining. Would be great if she could sail round to Lynn when they open that new fangled marina.

In the meantime, you can make a model

The "WILL" is now owned by a company called "Topsail sailing" she can
carry up to 50 passengers, I wonder how much they charge. She was sold
for £750 in 1966. If I had her I would put her back in her original livery,
as she was on her visits to Lynn. We have a great model of her at Trues
yard.

She was put up for sale in 96 for £240.000 price dropped in 97 to £160.000
bought by a past skipper, a lady, then sold to present owners "Topsail"
