Yes looks like her second from right. Any idea when photo taken and where? Never was into fishing so can't remember a Norfolk Tackle shop.

That looks like the Norfolk St where John Savages was. There used to be a video rental shop and arcade to the left of it set back from the pavement, as in the photo. Gone now though with new properties rebuilt up to the pavement. I remember the tackle shop being there.

The picture was taken 1983. The only place I can think of along Norfolk St that had a stepback like that was where Carol Bell and her twin sister
had a haildressing salon. I think it was called twinetts or something like that. It was right opposite the door that led to Eddie Tanns snooker club.
Is that where you are saying Papa S?

Could this have been the place, 112 Norfolk St. Once upon a time Elmo Supermarket, replaced by Fine Fare . It is set back from the road. Now Youngsters World.

Fraid not Ms Green. That was a caravan selling place (Malletts) I think before the supermarket was built.
The other end of the stepback has been the Eagle, Limberts and Van Pelts for donkeys years.

My mistake, papasmurf was right. I am reliably informed that the Lynn film shop in the background is where they built the snooker hall.

The snooker club was up the stairs above what was the Co-Op store. She who must be obeyed worked there all the time Eddie owned it.
It was pulled down and the Lidl supermarket was built.

I was told it was the new snooker hall before the one in Paige Stair lane opened. However, this is straight from the horses mouth ( so to speak) John Savage says the tackle shop was next to the ladies hairdressers and the place in the background was Lynn Video Library with a film part at the back.

Close!! The snooker hall was further up on the other side, where Liddle is now. The photo in question was half way down Norfolk St on the opposite side whereJohn Savages Music Centre was. :D

Yep :D I remember Henry Kelly cutting the ribbon when the old co-op turned in to an indoor market. He turned up in this huge Rolls Royce.
