The young lady on the right looks very much like my Grandmother. She worked in the Post Office before she wed and moved to Leicestershire. I have only one photograph of her as a young person and there is a similarly to this one. If it is her and I will get my Mum to have a look -the other lady could be Nellie Taylor-she worked with her and was a witness at her wedding.

Hello Jenny. The ladies in the pic are sisters, the girl Southgates.
The man is Timmo Van Pelt, he was married to the girl on his right.
The girl to his left married a Mr Edwards.

I remember fondly going down to this Post Office with bundles of mail mainly consisting of bills to be paid for items purchased from Humphreys where I was the "Office Boy" around 1969/70 if memory serves me right.

On second thoughts it should have read 1966/67 I met my future wife in 1969 and I had left Humphreys two to three years earlier.

Herewith one of my pictures, sorry no date but probably mid 1970's. I thought I had put this on here but a quick look did not find it.
Humphrey's is also mentioned on this thread and there is a picture on here taken June 1975 just before demolition.
These two are probably on the same roll of film.

Last one, still Alexandra Dock Post Office but not the one seen in the previous two pictures.
Does it show the Naval Reserve at left and the recently demolished Humphrey's at right?

The new building you can see behind the phonebox in Appsos picture was the tempory dock office built by RG Carter.
I worked on that while I was waiting fo my crane to go up elsewhere. The temp office was built for use while the new
brick built office was under construction. There are pictures on here of the old dock office being demolished.

Theodoras was his true Dutch name. I knew his brother Leendert, or Laine as he was called. Is the picture of all the brothers still
in the cabinet in true's phuket?
