Thanks Pete, not cost effective to repair but at least Stuart was able to advise me of that promptly.

Tesco are currently selling their Hudl2 tablet at just £99.
And they have a '£20 off purchases of £100 and more' promotion on too.

So you could get the Hudl2 for just £80 if you add a £1 item to your basket.
I've got a Hudl2 and it's a great device.
Great specs for the price.

The huddle, is not a pc.. remember that before you spend your hard earned money on it, it cannot replicate a pc..

Isn't this thread about a broken tablet and not a broken PC?

Though whether that broken tablet is an android tablet or not we don't know.

Tablet is a tad easier to lug about for a young girl than a PC
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Thank you all for your comments. Hudl is a good price, but more like a kindle, so whilst it is a bit more than just an electronic book reader it cannot do as many tasks as the broken tablet. We are probably going to get a newer version of the same thing - an Acer android tablet.
