Heathrow taxi recommendations

Postby warwound » 24 Jun 2013, 13:06

Can anyone recommend a decent taxi service from the town centre to Heathrow?
The online quotes all seem to be about the same and i can't make up my mind who to go with.

Thanks.

Martin.

We try and go by train when off trotting but flight time has to be taken into account.

Later in the day times are no trouble but very early ones are a bit of a headache.
We book a cheap hotel when on an early flight and go the day before.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Thanks for the replies.

I'd previously ruled out using the train as i'm not that confident i could manage a lot of connections.
But if it's a straight through to Kings Cross and then one tube to catch then it might be the best option.

I'll visit the train station and see what info i can get.

Picadilly line from King's Cross warwound, direct to Heathrow. Just check which terminal the tube is going to as they don't all go to all of the terminals....

Thanks for the reply.

It's a bit late now - i've been to and returned from Australia (over 3 months ago)!

I ended up paying a local taxi firm to take me straight to Heathrow, the same driver picked me up when i returned.
Not cheap, not expensive but very convenient.

If i go again i might take the tube, but after watching a documentary on pickpockets in London last week i might just pay for another taxi!
