Streetlights

Postby supergt1971 » 01 Nov 2013, 12:35

One of the streetlights adjacant to Tennyson avenue crossing has been out since 27th August after being knocked over in a road traffic incident and was replaced a month ago but not wired in.I have heard this week that the council/highways agency are not wiring it in due to budget issues! This is just an accident waiting to happen with the darker evenings and "Fawkes in the walks" tonight and a level crossing half in darkness - what a disgrace!

Who told you it was because of budget issues?

A colleague, after the highways agency had been contacted.I thought they would claim the money from the driver that caused the crash insurance company.
