Thank you so much for that OG! I reckon it was taken about 1964 - a couple of years before I started. My cousins are all there though - pic no 4: middle row, standing 5th from right Rosheen Easton, back row 3rd from right Paul Easton; pic no 5: front row 2nd from right Helen Easton and 3rd row standing 2nd from left my friend Anne Maher. I'll show them the pic and hopefully you will get a few more names.

Here's me and little sis in our uniforms about 1968

Do you remember Sister Mary OG? She was my first teacher. I started school 3 weeks after my fourth birthday and when I saw my parents leave I burst into tears and ran after them. I remember her running down the classroom shouting No, No - come back! She caught me.

Here's a couple more - that's about all I have from school.

I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Could have been EWW. I don't know how long she had been at the convent before I started there. She was small and round with glasses.

Think it's got to be her Caz. We drew them all like this when I was there,
and they all had nicknames. I think hers was "Pippinhead"

The drawing clinches it - that's definitely her!

Convent school photographs

Postby rospaul » 31 Jan 2008, 20:27

As a new member I was browsing through various items and found these convent school photographs. As a convent Old Girl my wife was very interested, especially as she is on picture 4 second in from the RHS second row (maiden name Rosalind Oliver). She can recall the names of all the girls in her year sitting along side her, she is sure it was taken the summer term of 1964. More information regarding names is availabe if requested.
