It is with great sadness that I report the death of a long standing member of the forum.
Michael Langwade, known to all on here as "Mivalanchi" Thinking of your family at this time.
RIP Miv.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Very sad news indeed EW. I worked with Mike when I first left school, we had some good times together. He will be sadly missed not only on this Forum but by the local community who he served for many years.

Ed has just told me he was at school with Michael & through the Forum I discovered he was a friend of my dad's cousin, Pym Groom.
Always sad when you hear news about someone you knew all those years ago.

Gerald Groom (miv's mate) and his brother Tony both worked at the Muckworks.
I used to play cricket with both of them years ago. Miv got in touch with me years
ago and said how glad he was that we said (or the members said) that they did
not want any politics on the forum, something we have stuck to all these years.
I thought it was great coming from a local politician of many years standing. I
looked foreward to visiting his garden each time he opened it for charity. His wife
is the gardener and very good she is at it too.
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

Hi all, don't often visit this forum, just read EWW's report re the late Michael Langwade. Like me, Mike was a member of the Market Gang during the war, knew him well. Another friend who will be missed, My circle of old Linnets just gets smaller.

Rest in peace, Mike.
